CartCarl is a Nigerian-based academic publishing platform designed to facilitate the dissemination of multidisciplinary research. The platform connects authors, reviewers, and editors within a unified digital environment, making it easy to submit, review, and access scholarly articles across various fields. The Challenge
Before the development of CartCarl, academic publishing in many local institutions was constrained by manual workflows and fragmented online systems. Authors often faced difficulties submitting manuscripts, while editors and reviewers lacked an efficient peer-review management process. The need was for a secure and centralized platform that could automate submission, review, and publication processes while ensuring transparency, accessibility, and compliance with international publishing standards.

Beep Digital developed the CartCarl Academic Publishing Platform using the KAS Framework with PHP8, MySQL, HTML, and jQuery to ensure performance, scalability, and flexibility. The platform was designed to accommodate a growing number of contributors and journals across multiple disciplines.
